Maryland became the 35th state to approve of regulations and access for biosimilar medicines. SB997 provides that within 5 business days after dispensing a biological product to a patient, the dispensing pharmacist shall communicate the biological product dispensed.
The CSRO would like to thank Senator Joan Conway and Delegate Bonnie Cullison for their leadership in passing these bills through the Legislature with unanimous approval.
The CSRO tracked and supported this legislation through Committee, Floor debate, and to the Governor, and will continue to do so in other states with pending legislation.
