Since its inception, the Coalition of State Rheumatology Organizations (CSRO) has worked to improve the policy environment in states across the country through the support of improved access for patients and reduced administrative burden for practitioners. Passage of these laws, however, is only part of the battle. Stakeholders must also monitor compliance and efficacy of laws that are in effect. Effectively monitoring compliance and efficacy also requires familiarity with the underlying law and its appropriate application.
Rheumatologists and other providers of care already wear many hats, and can hardly be expected to add tracking down and interpreting complex laws to their day-to-day responsibilities.
To that end, CSRO has developed a new legislative map tool which serves as a clearinghouse of both active bills and enacted legislation.
